My December Fab Bag

Hello lovelies!

I hope you all have been having a fab day! I've been having a long, boring day, having nothing in particular to do. So, I thought, I'd write about what I got in my December Fab Bag!

For those of you who do not know what Fab Bag is, find out more about them here!

So, I received my Dec Fab Bag last week! It is my first fab bag ever and I am excited about it. In fact, I was a bit skeptic about first trying out this service. So, as a trial, I only booked for the December Fab Bag. But before receiving it itself, I also went ahead and booked their Best of 2013 Bag, which was a limited edition bag for the new year. Now, I can't wait for it to arrive. The truth is that I just love receiving gifts (even if it is paid by me, for myself!)

Anyhow, I read about the December Fab Bag in a lot of blogs and in general, a lot of them seem to be disappointed with it. For me, I don't really have any complaints. Maybe because it is my first experience and I really did not have many expectations -regarding the brands or the sample size. So, lets get started with what I received in my December Fab Bag!

I received the package on the 3rd of this month, about a week or so after I ordered for it. They sent it through Blue Dart Couriers and it was sent in this box. It was not very carefully packed, because two of the products had leaked out a bit.

I love the December Bag. It is black with the multi-colored stars and I'm already using it in my bag to carry makeup! (Give me a thumbs up for a blog post about what is in my makeup bag!) Black is always a win-win color.

Here's what I got in my December Fab Bag:

1) Kama Ayurveda Lavender Patchouli Hair Conditioner

I've never used this brand before and I do not know much about it either. So I am definitely excited to try this one. But the sample size is too small and I am not sure if I can actually use it and benefit from it. Also, I am not very big on ayurvedic products, so I am still a bit unsure about using it. I think I'll give it a try, nevertheless. That's the whole point of getting samples, right!?  A down side of receiving this sample was that it had leaked a bit from the bottle because of careless packing.

2) LA Splash Nail Splash in the color Blue-tastic

Now this product, I am very very happy about! Again, I'm completely new to the brand and I love the color Fab Bag chose to send me. It is a bright blue color and it looks absolutely playful and fun! I tried it out and I am loving it!

3) Iraya Reviving Face Tonic With Pomegranate And Mint

Another product I absolutely loved in the December Fab Bag. I have been using this for the past week and I have been loving it so far. The effect it has on my skin is absolutely fab and its been working wonders. Only down side was that there was something wrong with the packaging and a bit of the product leaked on to the other products and the bag leaving a strong smell in the bag. I personally don't mind the smell while using the product, but I don't really appreciate it being spread all in the bag.

Bonus Product: Acentone-Free Nail Enamel Remover

A bonus product the Fab Bag team included in the December Fab Bag was this Acentone Free nail enamel remover. I have nothing in particular to say about this product because A) I've used other products from this brand before and I'm not very fond of it and B) it is a nail enamel remover. It is not expected to do much wonders. Of course, it seems to be much more gentle than the Lakme Nail enamel remover since it did not dry out my nails or leave while residue on my nails.

So that's what was inside my December Fab Bag! I am pretty happy about the samples I have received this month and I went ahead and decided to give them one more chance. I just booked a subscription for 3 more months.Oh! Also! I got a card with a renewal offer as my subscription was ending this month. With that, I could avail a 10% discount on my next subscription. So, yaay for that! I hope they wouldn't disappoint me in the future too!

All in all, it is all awesome! Congratulations on the fab job, the Fab Bag Team! You have a happy customer!

Be Beautiful!

Often, we get so worried about looking beautiful that we forget about being beautiful. Looking beautiful and being beautiful are two, very different things. Looking beautiful is all about external beauty- how you look, how you dress, the makeup you wear. Being beautiful is about feeling beautiful. It is about respecting yourself. It is about loving yourself. It is about feeling beautiful.

Looking beautiful is important, of course. But then, that beauty is external. It is limited. It is beauty that is easily forgotten because it is voyeuristic. But when you be beautiful, you're playing in a different league altogether. When you be beautiful, you are not just  beautiful, you change the world.

Being beautiful is about being powerful. You cannot be beautiful without being confident. You cannot be beautiful without being compassionate. You cannot be beautiful without feeling the warmth of love and happiness. Being beautiful is about feeling. It is about becoming more humane.

Beautiful people can change the world. They touch the lives of the people around them. They radiate warmth and compassion around them. They make the people around them beautiful. They make the world around them beautiful.

It is, hence, important to be beautiful and not just to look beautiful. I know this is not an original idea, these concepts are not new. But, this does not get said enough. This is not spoken about enough. And it has to. Again and again. And again.

Be beautiful, change the world!

The Year of Hopes

Hello!

A very happy new year to all the beautiful people out there!

A part of my new year resolution is that I will put an effort at being happier this year. And that I will blog a LOT more this year. I already had a beauty related blog once before. But since its been around TWO frigging years since I logged in to that account, I completely forgot the password for that account and so I had to start this new blog.

In a way it is, in fact, a beautiful, better thing. It is a blessing in disguise - I can start afresh. Two years later, among the many things that have changed, my expectations and my opinions about many things beauty have changed. Having said that, I intend to use this space to give you my reviews about different products, details about my hauls and all that kinda stuff! And boy! Am I excited to start!

So what is in store for 2014? I don't know yet, but it is a year of hopes and happiness! Here is to a year filled with beauty, happiness and lots and lots of love!

xoxo
